Corruption : What is it?

Misuse and abuse of entrusted power and authority for one’s own benefit and private gain.
Corruption destroys democracy. Corruption erodes not only trust but hampers economic growth and creates inequality, social upheaval, poverty, and environmental problems.
We need to understand corruption in order to fight corruption by holding those corrupt individuals or groups to account. That is one of the strategies to tackle corruption on every level.
